Why isn't anyone talking about Algeria?

I knew a dancer who thought England was in London.

Maybe he thinks Africa is in Algeria? Originally Posted by essence

If you do I understand, Essence relies on the BBC.* Originally Posted by LexusLover

Its world news reporting is generally quite good.

However, a few of its jounalist-commentators are completely balmy. It used to have a reputation for being rabidly pro-Israel, but with current owners I'm not sure if that is still true.

The comments sections make this forum seem like a sea of calm. nasty racist comments abound. You would get a very poor impression of Brits if you thought they were normal.

Did you ever notice how the left wingers cannot express themselves without profanity and personal put downs. When you have nothing else I guess you go with what you have.

Your attempt to narrow the discussion to appear correct is lame to say the least as an attempt to avoid the question ...

.... on what basis do you conclude the French have not been (or are not) in Algeria?

A football manager's nightmare.

It's almost as bad as the wife, whenever she says 'turn right' she means 'turn left' and vice versa.

Not as bad as the mother in law with driving directions, she says 'go straight up' and I say ' 'up' is not a driving direction, we're not in a fucking 'copter'.

Did you see Spurs held United to a draw this afternoon, in heavy snow?

I got that from the Telegraph too.

Maybe you had better check the difference between 'he' and 'you'? If I quote you, and was referring to you, then I would have said:

Maybe you think Africa is in Algeria?

but I was actually referring to LL and playing with him (because I know that LL is the kind of person who would know his geography quite well, his problem is interpretation, not facts).
