Jokacz, if you are still following this thread, you seem to be one of the best informed people I have come across concerning pizza in Buffalo. If you could, I think a family tree of pizza in Buffalo would be very informative and interesting. by the way, you are absolutely right about Leonardi's sauce but sometimes it is exactly what I have a taste for.
Wat happened to santoras?
Oh their patrons look well fed huh ?!?

I have always heard La Hacienda is great, and the Brick Oven is excellent. Speaking of Santoras, remember their place at Main and Union with the huge light up pizza sign above the building? Nobody has mentioned the Pizza Patrol from La Pizza Paletta, I loved those delivery vehicles!
im breaking down and getting pizza this weekend...and yea..its gonna have extra bacon
on it..i been holding off for waaaaaaay to long...

I only know the La Hacienda on Hertel in Buffalo. Pizza is OK, I like their blue cheese pizza. A friend of mine had a catering biz in the old Santora's building on Main near Jewett Pkwy. We went down in the basement one day and discovered the place used to be a whore house. Flocked wall paper and divided into little cubicles barely larger than a jail cell. Wonder when they were in business, looked really high volume.
