Southern Decadence is 8/28 - 9/02

Just a heads up (no pun intended) that Southern Decadence is set for Labor Day weekend. Not that there's anything wrong with that. If any providers are planning to tour on those days ..... well it may be a good idea to visit the Ms. coast.

When I first moved here, some coworkers took some of us newbies down there without telling us.

Saw a 50 year old hairy assed guy wearing assless chaps...and nothing else.

Thanks for the reminder to not go anywhere near the FQ during that time.

yea, i have images burned into my memory i wish i could forget. I was introduced to the decadence weekend without being told as well. Some things arent meant to be seen.

Back when I was dancing on Bourbon St I did my very first champagne room w/ a lesbian here for Decadence. Luckily it wasn't awful. But I did get an eyeful on the way to my car after work. Now I know better & just stay away from the Quarter ~

Me and a couple of friends of mine, decided to make a trip to the quarter one night and as we are making our way toward Bourbon St. , we Noticed alot of guys half naked, we didn't pay any attention to it untill we seen the street full with men in ass less chaps, women wearing strap-Ons, and my buddy got offered to be brought to pound town, by a cross dresser. We turned around and left, not out of hate, just wasn't our scene.

I have a brother who is gay.....he said that Decadence is laughed at in the gay community he lives in, is a part of, whatever.

Uh-oh... So I take it Southern Decadence is a giant gay festival? Hmmm... I've got friends who are flying in from overseas for that weekend. They are EMPHATICALLY not-gay. And are staying in the Qtr. These girls are pretty broad-minded, but although the lack of clothing won't upset them necessarily (they're Latinas--dress is different), they ARE straight. I better warn them, I guess? How long does this thing last?

I will be working in NOLA the weekend of this festival but not in the FQ - I've never seen this kind of party and I don't know that much about NOLA. How far out from the French Quarter will these antics spread?

hell yeah, OHD you better warn them!! I don't have anything against gays at all, but Decadence is just downright nasty....
