Back in previous years, when I was here, I got ncns'ed maybe twice the whole time. Over the last couple of months, it has become routine and my schedule is also unpredictable so i don't confirm until am sure, and then I get ncns again. Lately if a provider shows even the slightest sign of doubting if we can meet, I move on. Common courtesy, i usually call, but am getting tempted to start having a plan A, B and C and then calling the others when one becomes a sure one, to let them know am canceling.. I choke it up as part of the cost of the hobby.

Great post Kammye and I hope some of the habitual NC/NS offenders take heed to the toll their thoughtlessness causes us. It really is rude and inconsiderate. I prefer a call to cancel an hour ahead of time, but I do understand that sometimes life happens and thats unlikely to occur so a follow up text or email letting me know why I was blown off makes things a little better as far as hope for rescheduling goes.

I make it a point to enforce my NC/NS policy for this exact reason. In a perfect world we would be able to be refunded for hotel cost ect. I haven't NC/NS any clients and I can't fathom a scenario that would elicit such a response from me.

If so, then I think you're missing the point. If they don't give a fuck either way, then count them as losses and bank on 1 guy per every 1,000 actually showing up...either way, I am saying there's no way that many people don't give a fuck. I think that most hobbyists care too much about getting their rocks off, than to simply not show. Some actually care about being courteous. But if I'm wrong, that number still isn't anywhere close to 99.9%. Can't be.

I'm visiting Houston for the first time this week from Dallas and have heard many-a-whore story about Houston's above average occurrence of last minute cancellations and ncns - especially for travelling providers so here is what I did:

After reading through p411's cancellation fee policy and emailing back and forth with p411 staff, I intentionally made a very obvious $150 cancellation fee if the session is canceled within 12hrs of the booked appointed. I also will only accept bookings through the official p411 appointment request system. Then when confirming the appointment, the gent MUST agree to the cancellation fee AGAIN just in case he missed it in my ad.

Granted I have not received very many bookings, but that is just fine with me as it seems most just want to waste provider's time anyway. I am very happy not to have to deal with the headaches surrounding a deluge of bookings only to end up with mostly last minute cancellations and ncns.

Having this system in place from the get-go has definitely filtered out the inconsiderate jerks who only want to play childish keyboard games instead of have real BCD fun!

I've advised those who don't have a p411 to send me their references for pre-screening and then contact me during my visit for a short notice appointment.

Thats actually a great system to have. I too dont deal with that back and forth pm msgs. Its extremely annoying. I can pretty much tell now who's serious and who is full of shit on here anyway. But yes a great system indeed hun.
