Austin is known as music Capitol of the world... what's San Antonio known for?

Does San Antonio have a 6th street? What are all the fun things a hobbyist can go do with a local lady other than the obvious? I mean I've been to the River Walk and watched some water flow by and even a few ducks (can't shot them I asked) did the Alamo thing (not sure that needs doing again) so what are the hot spots in San Antonio? There's a dimly lit, cool spot on Mistletoe for jazz if you like jazz. Originally Posted by kitkat

depends on the type of person that you are:
clubs, tubing on the rivers, sky diving, heli hunting, art gallery, hiking trails, kayaking to the bat cave, hunting, fishing, playing sports, theres also a shit loads of gyms, theme parks, if you want to have fun in SA, there is a bunch of stuff to do, you only have to make up your mind on what you want to do.
Theres a farmers market each saturday at the pearl, then sunday at the alamo quarry. Then king william fair on the end of fiesta in a couple of months. Weekly art exhibits, witte museum specials, open mic noghts for new bands downtown, local wineries and the rebecca creek distillery just to the north, countless parks for hiking, la cantera for shopping. Multiple bike trails throughout the city for leisurely rides. Historic districts by st. Marys st for home architecture.... Depends on your cup of tea. Riding the river barges... Just be creative.....

Fuck austin. Can't even find the HEB or the Valero. The dumdum austin fucks forget to buldoze the trees before they build them. Can't see the fuckers behind the trees.

SL, with all due respect, if you have to ask, you are not laid back enough for good old sa.

Yea JC is on half the tortillas here but don't forget the tree that leaked holy water till SAWS fixed the leak.

When out of towner friends visit, I like to take them to places off the tourist junket.

Do that for people that are good friends *with*manners.

But there are some great places all around and San Antonio let some fall by the wayside. The Hot Springs on the south side. St. Mary's strip has had it's heyday. River walk is okay but some great places have gone by way of chain clubs. You might find a couple of 'Rough Riders' at the Menger.
Or we should start our own.
