I don't see it as a negative or "unhealthy" . Mcdonald's and BK and Wendys are competitors, its simply business terminology - as this is business not always so emotionally correct.

Exactly! Competition is not by itself the reason the rate is the way it is. It is a factor nonetheless! Supply is high, demand is high, and price stays the same.
