I don't see it as a negative or "unhealthy" . Mcdonald's and BK and Wendys are competitors, its simply business terminology - as this is business not always so emotionally correct. The word didn't disturb me, the person who said the word did. As I stated in what you quoted, competition is healthy in small doses. Go read it again and you will see it. However! Some women take their "competitive" perceptions way way wayyyyyyy too far on this Adult Board and let their competitive drive skew their rational. I don't think her perspective has worked for her at all and was trying to point that out. She has been blatantly hateful to people on this board bc of her perceptions about competition. I was a competitve gymnast for years but I didn't let it take over my life in a self-defeating way. Theres a fine line and she needs to be leary of crossing it. I can see where this is going. I'm trying to help her out in seeing for herself.
Her perspective works for her and I don't see her saying the word "competition" in an "who's BETTER than WHO" way. Anything can be unhealthy. Any word can be seen as negative with an infinite breakdown of why it's negative... we're adults on an adult site ECCIE , this is not a Candyland fantasy board game. Sorry the word disturbed you, hon.. Originally Posted by Eva Damita
