I work in a gun free building. There has never been a violent crime of any kind committed on the premises to the best of my knowledge. Should management allow guns on the premises? I don't think so. Get out into the other America for a change and see how the other half of Americans live.
40% of all Americans never in their lives accumulate even as much as $3,000 dollars in savings. America is a country of drastic disparities of haves and have-nots. In addition as I've mentioned America has huge populations of African Americans and hispanics which have violence engrained into their cultures, and even when they attain wealth these tendencies for violence remain with them.
There used to be a very popular hispanic singer named Selena but she was shot to death by a disgruntled employee of her dress shop. There used to be a talented singer named Marvin Gaye, but one day his father got angry with him and shot him to death. Now there is a rapper named Jay-Z who stabbed his former manager several times with a knife in the doorway of a club. There used to be rappers named Notorious BIG and Tupac Shakur....what happend to them? Another rapper named Snoop Dog was involved in a fatal shooting for which he was indicted. This well known stories goes on and on because these are celebrities, but the same level of violence goes on in these minority communities among people who are not famous so you never hear about them. Go to Mexico and in most cities at night several bodies will be found in the streets from shootings. Mexican gangs in California do the same things.
When is the last time you've heard of a white country singer or white heavy metal band member stabbing his manager? Never.
