I think your anger should be directed at the unscrupulous guides that put him in the position. dude is from Minnesota not Zimbabwe.I disagree totally. This idiot knew exactly what he was doing. He already has a felony conviction for poaching a bear in US. As far as not being from Zimbabwe he has been there many times.
If anybody needs to be skinned and hung out to dry it is the guides. They are the ones that call the shot, not the hunter.
the ignorance of some people when it comes to tragic events never ceases to leave me underwhelmed. Originally Posted by The2Dogs

Yes they broke the law along with him and should face charges as same as the hunter/felon.

Hunting for trophies is one thing, but to lure the famous lion out of the park, knowing it had tracking collar, which in itself makes it off limits. He should be punished to the full extent possible.
Palmer belonged to the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters and Guides Association, but that group stated recently via Facebook that the hunter was “in violation of the ethics of ZPHGA,” and that his membership has been suspended indefinitely. I come from a family of hunters and none agree that this is hunting. They lure then entrap then murder the defenseless animal. NOT HUNTING. Killing for the thrill are sport is not acceptable in my view. Thank God he's now the most hated man in America. Originally Posted by bon69

The story I read was he bribed the guides to knowingly lure the lion outside the wildlife sanctuary.Actually he paid the bribe to Mugabe to get him to threaten to send in his wovits to seize and occupy the guides' farms if they refused to call that particular kitty. And Robert's happy for any excuse to do that. I thought everyone knew about it.
