I see my comment from yesterday didn't make it....so here we go again.
The video is pretty damning but the trial will go something like this;
Prosecutor: Why did you shoot 16 times?
Cop 1: I felt my life was in danger so I fired until I thought the danger was over.
Prosecutor: Why DIDN'T you fire?
Cops 2, 3, and 4: We didn't feel our lives were in danger.
or
Cops 2, 3, and 4: We also felt our lives were in danger.
Prosecutor: So why didn't you fire?

The real answer is that he was afraid for his wellbeing and when he was firing he was not counting, and ....
.... there is going to be testimony that at least one other officer fired his weapon, but did not continue firing when he or she was aware that another officer was continuing to fire.
I guess all the
"seasoned Monday-morning combat veterans" posting in here have a clear recollection of COUNTING ROUNDS when firing under stress and fear for their life.
Another comment from THE VIDEO ... it appears to me that this "youngster" was taller and bigger than the cops ...... When the media and posters on here want to slant the perspective they start minimizing the age with such words as "youngster" and "teenager" .... even other words to IMPLY EXTREME YOUTHFULNESS.
A 17-year-old wielding a knife is no different than a 27-year-old, except dumber!
