Heading out to the game in a few hours. If we beat Tech today we have the longshot against Baylor for a bowl game. Hey.....a fan can hope can't he?

Great game with TX Tech last night. To bad our D couldn't help our offense out. Great job by the back ups Swoops and Warren.

I read in today's sports page that University of Houston is now out recruiting us. WTF! We are getting out recruited and out played by TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and now fucking Houston? Where we were always # 1 we are now # 6 in the state! Everybody is saying give Strong time but he ( we) have the 2016 recruiting class ranked # 50. Why are you worried about where Texas is ranked right now? Do you realize Charlie Strong got 14 players to commit last year from Dec - National Signing Day? Malik Jefferson committed in December. Holton Hill, Davante Davis, Kris Boyd and Anthony Wheeler, committed in January. Locke, Warren, Newsome and Locksley did not commit until February.

I agree. It'll take at least four years for any coach to turnaround a program. I hope UT doesn't do to Charlie Strong what Norte dame did to ty willingham. Look at the freshmen strong brought in in such a short amount of time. Imagine what he can do now that he's been here a full year.

I have to agree as well, you have to give Strong a couple of years to get his program going his way but I really have lost some confidence when you see them make rookie calls like they did the other night. Example there at the end of the game, 4th down and long and you decide to go deep with a one on one pass instead of running the ball when the run game was getting 5+ yards 85% of the plays. Bad call! My first thought was the same back play call in last year's superbowl.

Beating Baylor was huge! I don't care if Briles was on his 4th QB. great game!

I think at one time Texas had 5 freshmen DB's and 2 Freshmen LB's on the field. These young kids are going to be really good. So many people complain about how bad the defense is but they don't realize how good the offense are that they have played.

Actually if you knew what you were talking about you would know that Charlie Strong did not recruit Gray, Swoopes or Heard. These are Mack Brown's players. Locksley is Charlie Strong's player. He is a Red Shirt and you have know idea if he will be good or not since he hasn't played yet.

Texas just played some of the best offenses in the country. Baylor(1), Texas Tech(2), TCU(4), OU(7), Cal(9), OkST(19), ND(25) and WV(28) is where they rank in Total Offense in the FBS.

I don't know if you have ever played football. If you think a team who's best players are Freshmen are going to shutdown high powered offenses, then it's obvious you don't know anything about football. Why don't you do some research before you talk about how bad the defense is? Actually all of the defenses except OU (31) in the Big 12 are bad as far the FBS ranking.

I don't know what game you were watching but Texas was up 17-0 when Baylor's 3rd string QB got hurt. If he stayed in the game Baylor probably would have got shutout.

Harbaugh is not doing anything special at Michigan. He has 8 SR and 2 JR on Offense and 5 SR and 4 JR starting on Defense. He should have a better record than 9-3 with that many experienced players. I will take Tom Herman serious when he win a Bowl game against a Power 5 school. Houston is playing nothing but cupcake teams.

When 80 teams get in a bowl game and we don't that is pathetic. Saying that...if we scheduled cupcake games for the 1st 3 (as usual) instead of ND and Cal we would be in a bowl game. How can we get shut out at Iowa ST. and beat Baylor and OK? If we lost those 2 games as we should of, this season would of been 3-9.

Anybody have thoughts on the new OC from Tulsa? Sounds like he is total spread offense. This is what got Watson fired. Swoops and Heard just can't pull it off and our receivers aren't studs. To be successful this team needs to run the ball 25-35 times a game.
