I was married for over 20 years. The first 10 were great and I never even knew places like this existed. After we had our first child our sex life slowed down to a crawl. After our second child our sex life was non-existent. We were still a family and that part was really pretty good as far as companionship and friendship and spending time with our children. I didn't want a divorce based on this one missing piece (even though it's a huge piece) so I found a way to get what was missing. I was able to get what I was missing with no strings attached. Nobody was going to show up at my house, nobody was going to call or text in the middle of the night like it could have if I had had an affair with a "civie". It went on like this for another 10 years until the companionship and friendship weren't that great and the kids were older so we got divorced.
I certainly didn't get married with any intentions of getting involved with this lifestyle. My guess and it's only a guess is this a relatively common scenario.


I still hobby occasionally because I don't have the time, patience, or desire for another relationship right now.
