So what's the proper etiquette for eating the meat out of shrimp tails

What's so offensive about lovin the tail? Come on dude, even you have to admit my post on savor the tail wasnt offensive.
Pinch and suck that meat out like crawfish.

Don't forget to leave a descent tip.

You are smart enuf to figure that one out, arent you?

If not, then obviously the OP dining partners have an aversion to the tail. No fault of OP, however. I am sure it is a simple observation made and has no direct correlation to race, right? Because, as I said before, love the tail, savor the tail......etc.
If you use a shrimp tool, you get all the meat and remove the sand vein. If they're fried, there's not enough tail meet to fool with. Just eat another shrimp.

As for oysters, only pussies use crackers. Dip them in sauce made of ketchup, lemon juice and horseradish and enjoy.
Do you know why Cajuns like crawfish so much?

It's because they don't know about shrimp.

Because people take themselves wayyyyyyyyy too fudging seriously...

Why can't everyone have common sense like you and answer a simple question. They gotta turn everything into a personal affront.

But yeah...get that meat out. If its jumbo shrimp and you're eating 6 of em those 6 extra tails can add up to 1 possibly 2 more shrimp. Originally Posted by Sistine Chapel

There is a "technique" that, whether eating shrimp or crawfish, that if you pull on the meat and at the same time "pinch the bottom of the tail", then the meat of the tail will pull right out, and you never have to crack the tail shell at all !

The first time you learn how to do this, you will feel a bit stupid for all of the time and work you have put into cracking shells, when you didn't have to. Not to mention, this technique is easier and not as messy.

I used to make my fingers hurt and get numb cracking crawfish shells trying to get that last bit of meat, until I finally learned this technique.

Try it next time !

(FYI, this technique doesn't work as well on small crawfish, however, as the shells seem harder and hold the meat firmer, so get bigger crawfish if you can, but on shrimp this technique should work all of the time.)
SC.....why keep playing the race bullshit? Why should race always always be such a hot topic all the time? All you do is stir the pot and you enjoy it. We are all the same.

There is no wonder why a lot of people here think you are someone else.....
