Hasson agreed that both eras represent the worst in "thug politics" and also bear a distasteful resemblance to Al Capone's extortionist tactics.

Sounds like the Liberal Novices in this forum. They have no viable substantive response so they attack with vile name-calling and lameass attempts to marginalize with ridicule. They are also afraid of statues and other symbols. Trying to get rid of those.
