By watching recordings of numerous sting operations and reading through dozens of news articles on prostitution busts, I've found that:

- Undercover informants don't screen; They will quickly text you the address and room number of the hotel.
- Most stings seem to happen in hotels and rarely do they occur in residential places.
- A bonafide way to get arrested is to talk/text about rates and a menu, (i.e., implying or soliciting 'sexual services').

Also, keep in mind that getting arrested is not the only thing to be worried about. There are bad characters who will exhort, rob, and kill.

Nonetheless, use your best judgment and listen to your gut. Never ever be quick to rush into something that you're not 100% certain. Lastly, if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
