This is a brilliant move by promoters to keep their threads at the top. Every time someone requests pics it bumps back up top. It is brilliant! One recent thread has over 200 replies for pics and over 30 thousand views.

The problem is reviews with valuable information are pushed to page 7 in hours. This practice is skirting the image rules and not a service to the community. Just my opinion.

I always sort by thread start time. That way I don't get locked into the popularity contest.

I also noticed this trend a while back. I didn’t want to say anything because I do like the information given in the threads. I like the OP, and I believe the info is accurate, also I have been a proponent of the “I don’t care if it’s a promo or not it’s still (in my opinion) valuable information.”

But I have to say that I P.M.ed the OP a few days ago expressing my interest in seeing the non-compliant pics. And I also stated that I was doing it in P.M. mode because I am not trying to add a useless “send me a pic” post to the thread because I like to read real feed back instead of pages of send me a pic posts. As of yet I have not heard a peep from the OP. Which is unusual.

I kind of like it the way rubmaps works, every review gets equal front page time no bumping it back to the top. And only one review on the front page per establishment that would be the latest one written it kinda keeps everything in check and balance

The pic thing has gotten out of control and has definitely created the unintended side effect. But promoters have used and still use multiple id thread boosting technique since the beginning of time to keep their ladies/spa on the first page. Several users who gave responded here have and still continue to use that technique. The modality changes, but the game remains the same.

20K views. That is the point of advertising, get it in front of the most people that you can. I'd rather my ad receive 20K views than 200 under any circumstances. I can guarantee you that it is effective.


And when that screenshot is shown to them I would guess that individual gets a seat at the big table next to mamasan in the kitchen,,, along with other corporate perks like sampling Korean cuisine.


edit: the throng of encounters were bumped to the top again requesting pics. Jay now has an incredible commanding lead at over 32K views.


The OP must be spending hours and hours PMing hundreds of pics to people.

I was going to post some but the mods said it's against eccie rules. So I referenced them all of bobbymann post haven't heard back yet
