As for ..4. The ACA was designed to handle problems in the INDIVIDUAL market. It does not matter what other companies are doing. If you're a plumber and work for yourself and by yourself you are not getting a group health insurance policy. All you did was go off on some tangent that doesn't apply.
4. Get a job ... there are plenty now. "ACA" drove up the premiums for the employers/employees. Also, there are companies (even before "ACA") that are "self-insured" and contract with a healthcare provider to do their claims work. Cost effective.

With the ACA becoming the law 92% of all citizens under age 65 have some type of health insurance, an increase by 10%. When someone becomes 65 they get moved over to Medicare a single payer system run by the government.
