Mels in Tomball, didn't they used to serve everything on a tray, no plates?

If same place they had good food, but it's been over a decade or so since I was there.
Hard to beat some good ole' fried chicken!!
Does Mel’s still do fried liver on Tuesdays?
Some of the best I’ve ever had.
Damn....what happened to all the foodie people. We used to have tons of them. Originally Posted by tbone2u

For fried fish, I would say Goode Co Seafood on the high side; Capt Benny's and Mambo on the more ordinary side.

No offense to anyone, but this place has been a shitshow for awhile. Seems like it is slowly getting better.
Lots of us trying to make it better. Still have a few shitheads to cull but it's getting better.

Believe it or not K&S seafood on gessner and Philippine have great fried shrimp, catfish and oysters. Small Asian run restaurant.
And the regular order of fried rice will feed 3 men
It is apparent; thanks to all for those efforts.

K&S sounds great. Will check it out.

The chicken at Barbecue Inn is, indeed, awesome. Just don't walk in there starving - it takes a while for them to cook "your" order. Nothing there sits under a heat lamp.
