The OP has cross threaded a snippet of a convo from another thread - which covered a different rushed study (vaccine trial by Moderna). That's why the context doesn't flow except in the OP's (OP's user ID) sized mind ;-)

Expect physicians to stop prescribing hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine for Covid-19 patients.

The study examines 96,032 patients, of which 14,888 received hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine and the rest were considered the control group. They only included people who started on the drugs within 48 hours of entering the hospital, and measures of the severity of the disease were similar in the control group and the groups that took the drugs.

I'll just quote results for those who took hydroxycholoroquine without an antibiotic. Results are a little better for those who just took chloroquinine and a little worse for those who combined the drugs with antibiotics (macrolides in the paper).

9.3% of the people who didn't take hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine died, and 0.3% suffered ventricular arrhythmias.
For those who took hydroxychloroquine alone, 18% died and 6.1% suffered ventricular arrhythmias.

Does this mean that people like President Trump who are taking hydroxychloroquine as a prophylaxis are more likely to die? Maybe so, maybe not. There's not enough data out there to know. I sure wouldn't take the stuff. He and everyone around him should wear masks instead.

Weird too, in that CNN dedicated over 90 minutes to it in a single day when it originally came out, as did most MSM outlets. But now it's crickets from them. Maybe news travels slower there. • Most people don't even know they have the Chinese disease COVID
• Most people that are healthy are unbothered by Wuhan, China's COVID
• Most elderly people in nursing homes are much more likely to survive an outbreak of the Chinese COVID if they do not live in a Blue State where their governor forces them to admit people infected by the Wuhan Chinese COVID

And as I've pointed out in several threads and more and more evidence is coming to light regarding Wuhan virus being tied to blood clots and Lupus like symptoms.

And ironically enough HCQ is often used as a LUPUS treatment. So while not necessarily the "best" treatment as more is being released, it certainly had potential and still does in at least some blood clotting and treatment effects.

Right now the consensus is there remains no consensus and the contrary studies are slowly being proven false.

That's what happens when the media mixes politics with pharmacology. Nobody knows what the fuck they're talking about.
