There's definitely a possibility George was killed because Derek was racist, but I've not seen any solid evidence to suggest that.

Again, the only reason people believe it was a hate crime is based off of statistics of past events which gives a higher probability for a black person to be killed by police (but does not say racism is the motive) and that Derek is white and George is black.

I don't have any good reason to assume that Derek is a KKK member or that he contributed to the death of George solely because of skin color.

When a person goes shopping for a car or shirt etc.. Do they go into the office and say Id like to look at the 2021 Dodge Ram when theres 20 in the lot? No they will give a description and color or be asked for that info.
