the game is the electoral college. the popular vote was removed from the equation on purpose. you know why. polls do matter. it's why people take them. slick willie blythe based his presidency on which way the political poll winds blew. because of that he became a centrist. explain that. I'm probably wasting my time trying to get people to understand a basic concept like sample size, but let me break it down for you a little more. The presidential elections that happen every four years get the biggest turnout of American voters, and therefor are the ultimate determination we have as to who the American voters trust. In the past 30, yes, 30 years, the republican presidential candidate has only won the popular vote once. That's right once. These are the indisputable facts. You can try to argue against them, but you would just be wrong. Originally Posted by 1pittsburgh

I hate to say it, but the trust we give our states are sometimes just too damn much. It seems like ppl with integrity are not in politics like they used to be, and now it's the likes of MTG, Gaetz, M. Waters and others who are not only shitty representatives, but are gaming their states to stay in office.
... And actually MORE Republicans in the Senate. ...

I mean, c'mon Georgia, don't you have someone who isn't an angry Karen synchophant of DJT???
The current shit show in NJ with Menendez and who could ever forget the likes of Rod Blagojevich as Illinois governor?? Tried to sell a senate seat to the highest bidder!
But Republicans liked him cause he voted for Reagan twice. LOL Ahh good old Dutch- he musta visited 'sweet home Chicago' a few times to get that kinda support. Originally Posted by eyecu2

None of that has anything to do with the topic of this thread, which is who the American voters trust more. The popular vote of the presidential elections is by far the most accurate gauge of who the that would be. It's simple math.
it's not surprising you call the electoral college "antiqued" because it's purpose is to keep liberals out of the white house.
the popular vote isn't the game. and dems only yell about it when they lose. otherwise they think it's great!
sample sets. great topic. and if i found 1,000 color blind people who think the sky is green and then say 100 percent of people think the sky is green? is that poll accurate? it is for people who are color blind. Originally Posted by The_Waco_Kid
