Bluff called……

After Gabbard and Ratcliffe both stated in a congressional hearing that the plans in the unsecured chat were not classified, the Atlantic offered to share them to prove they were real. Multiple Trump-Tards then attacked the messenger instead of answering the question, as usual……….

So, this morning, the Atlantic shared the text chain in question. Now we will see what fallout occurs from this.

My bet still is that Hegseth gets the axe when all is said and done.

your source is highly questionable as he is a known libtard asshat.

Mistake was acknowledged quickly and the smartest among us have moved on.

BTW -- the airstrikes against the houthis was successful and taken out key Houthi leadership, including their head missileer. In addition Iran was put on notice through these actions.

You seem to have missed the end result.

Again, I've moved on from this nuthing burger. Sad that you can't. Originally Posted by Flair4Drama

Funny how The Atlantic posted the entire chat - which is entirely okay because it “is not classified information”. But, I doubt anybody will read it, after all, the Atlantic is “failing” - which means y’all won’t read it.

Funny how some may claim they’ve moved on from a *cough * nothing burger yet post an entirely new thread about the Group Chatgate. Though, I suppose it’s not a lie, moved on to a new thread sounds more like it. Reading the Group Chat is hilarious until you remember that it’s serious: skirting FOIA laws, nobody really caring about Vance’s opinion & how his opinion goes against Daddy Dearest (somebody is in trouble hahaha). You know Trump is fuming

But regardless, Waltz has taken responsibility, and admitted to the fuck up. Quite a new concept in American politics wouldn’t you say? Owning up to your mistake? Don’t recall that happening over major fuck ups in our fairly recent past.

On the other hand, if this nothing burger of a reporter is releasing classified info to the public, redacted or not, he just may be in a world of shit and should be brought in to the appropriate org for a debriefing. And from there, the people deemed responsible for this fuck up, should be relieved of their duties and replaced. In other words, their asses should be fired. But, until the investigation is over, speculation from the left makes it look like the Dems are reaching once again for another “gotcha moment” that does absolutely nothing when it comes to getting to the root cause of the problem.

Not to mention, the mission was a success and continues to be an ongoing success. And this nothing burger reporter has already changed his narrative from “war plans” to “attack plans”. Back peddling isn’t a good look for him, especially since he’s a Never Trumper and has jumped all over conspiracy theories in the past about Trump that have been debunked.

One last point. If you saw the Trump staff meeting that was televised yesterday when Trump was asked about using this app for discussions like this, he looked directly over at Waltz and said something to the effect that “I don’t think he’ll be using that app again”. If you’ve ever sat around a table with your boss & your peers when your boss was pissed off at you, you know that look…it’s never good…I’ve seen that look. So yea, I’m sure behind closed doors, knowing Trump, there was some major ass chewing that went on. This won’t happen again, you can bet on that.

And although your name calling sounds more like terms of endearment, it does absolutely nothing to prove your point. Rather have an Admin that can disagree and agree to disagree, than having puppets in office that have to take afternoon naps every day.

This is all executive branch so its supposed to be FOIA-able and subject to records management practices. Using Signal is not secure - it doesn’t even work on government phones (because it inherently violates the presidential records act) so this is all on their personal devices too.
Imagine how many other groups chats are currently going on for how many extremely sensitive and important decisions and operations, and none of it is being recorded or handled properly. For any MAGAs downplaying this: If this were a couple interns randomly chatting about this stuff and posting random emojis, it’s irresponsible and immature and they should be removed from their job, no question. The fact that you have heads of Cabinet on this chat doing the same should genuinely make anybody ashamed. What whiny little teens. The VP is on this text chain ffs. This is how government operates? No wonder there's such little confidence in govt. No matter how this resolves(whether there's similar removals from office/not, it needs to be noted that these folks who all decry "woke" culture are about as annoyingly cringe as it can get.

Did You Notice What Vanished From The Atlantic's Narrative About the Hegseth Signal Story?

The Atlantic felt their story was dying. The Trump administration said no classified war plans were discussed in the Signal chat story that’s captured the hyper-regional confines of liberal America. It looks like a nothing burger vis-à-vis a severe breach in classified information, though still an unforced error on behalf of top officials. To recap, The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg was accidentally added to a group chat on the encrypted messenger app, which was pre-downloaded on the devices of those involved in the chat, which included CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, and Vice President JD Vance.

The Atlantic has already abandoned their bullshit “war plans” narrative, and in releasing the full chat , they concede they LIED to perpetuate yet ANOTHER hoax on the American people. What scumbags!

The hook was that classified war plans were discussed, and Mr. Ratcliffe shot down a claim. There was nothing classified, Jeff, so release the texts. At first, he decided not to do it, simply claiming his detractors were wrong—a typical response when fake news is knowingly peddled.

So, The Atlantic opted to publish the text they felt was classified, though it wasn’t, and two things were clear: these aren’t war plans, and that narrative has conspicuously vanished.

Notice the narrative shift. First it was “top secret”, then it was “classified”, now it’s “sensitive”

Ok so the Atlantic released what they call the “war plans”—they’re depending on people not knowing (or caring) what this is, but to refer to it that way is a stretch. There’s nothing specific here, other than times at which events will occur. A leak of this kind could alert the enemy, but doesn’t tell them anything about what’s coming, where or how to prepare for it. Nothingburger.

Now, this isn’t a one-sided deal. Again, this was a brutal, unforced error, adding a known Trump-hater to this chat. This administration dodged a significant bullet and was lucky that no classified information was disclosed. Then again, in the chats, all the principals are aware of the “high side” lines of communications, secure platforms where deeper discussions could occur.

The chats are real, so it’s not a hoax, but the ‘they disclosed classified war plans’ narrative is fake news and hyper-sensationalized. The White House did well to notice how the words “war plans” got stealth edited in the new disclosures, pointing to a tacit acknowledgement that the publication got ahead of their skis on this one, which is a common trait at The Atlantic:

https://x.com/TomBevanRCP/status/190...story-n2654510

Many things can be true at once. 1) Jeffrey Goldberg is a clear Trump hater. 2) Goldberg has published sensationalized accounts in the past that have been disputed by people with first-hand knowledge. 3) He was added to this chat and has receipts, so it’s not a hoax.
