Text contact

I have been a member of this site since the days of aspd.
I have been in CN for a few years but with the current administration views of energy I foresee my travels heading back to OK/Texas. However I have noted that a lot of providers want contact via text. I don’t text for two reasons: cell is a company phone, and secondly my text skills are limited…we just don’t text much in my area of business. In the past I have normally contacted providers through eccie web etc, then follow up with call from my hotel…it seems that is a thing of past? What is the big thing with text contact?

I feel as though having a hobby contact # is important for many reasons.
Screening and verification for other providers for that is what most of us need to be able to give you a reference if you choose to see another lady.
Would be very beneficial in case of a last minute emergency on either end. Example: Car accident, family emergency, flat tire.
Communication If for some reason you or her are going to be over 15 min late so that either party can decide if they need to R/S the appointment out of respect of each others time and any obligations they may have going on the rest of the day..
Just my opinion. ♀️

Valid response, however I try to keep it simple.

Pretty much impossible to hobby these days without a smartphone. While initial contact is usually through DM/Email almost all following communication is via SMS/text. A TracFone is a cheap & easy option & you'll have a dedicated hobby phone.

Agree on paying cash. So there's no paper trail.

if a provider starts calling/texting you on your phone (real or burner) and becomes a pain in the tush, you block.

Why using a burner phone with its own Gmail account linked to it is great - Say you lose the phone or worse the cops get you. 1st thing you do when you get access to a PC device is sign into that gmail account and tell it to DELETE itself. in 2-3 minutes the email will not work and in about 5 total all contacts etc everything linked to it is GONE. Had a buddy of mine do this when he go pinched for something he should not have been doing. I got an email from his saying to delete any conversations he and I had on _________ account and would explain why later.

Course this ticked off the cops because they did not turn off the phone when they put it into evidence to be examined by their cyber team and by then he had sent the "kill pill"

So yeah... having a hobby phone is good advice. Just do NOT get one from your current cell provider and put it on your account as a second line for an additional 10 bucks.

Also having a second PC to transact your hobby life works well too.
