New James Bond film director announced by Amazon.

Denis Villeneuve, the Oscar nominated French-Canadian filmmaker, will direct the next James Bond film, Amazon MGM Studios has announced.

In a statement released by the studio, Villeneuve says he is a "die-hard James Bond fan" and intends to "honor the tradition" of the franchise.

He better honor that tradition by not giving in to the peer pressure of hiring a Non British/United Kingdom Non White Non Male Not Straight actor.

Anyone on this list that is not White and not British/United Kingdom and not Male and not Heterosexual needs to be thrown out and there are quite a few on this list.

James Bond is White, British, Heterosexual and Male. It was established in Ian Fleming's books and novels and it needs to stay that way.

I only seen Blade Runner 2049 and The Arrival and I found both of them to be slow like watching paint dry.

Online reviews says his two Dune movies are great but I am not a Dune fan.

I am not sure he is the right person for the job of directing an action film like James Bond considering the advances in action sequences in the recent Mission Impossible movies

James Bond films has been kind of falling behind recently in the action and stunt department especially with the last couple of Bond films with Daniel Craig.
I really hope they go with Idris Elba, just to piss you and the rest of your ilk off.

I’ll never forget seeing 40+ year old men and women bitching about The Little Mermaid on social media because they chose Hailey Bailey. 😂

If this is true, I won't be watching.

James Bond died at the end of the last Bond film and the 60 years old franchise died with it.

Shame on Broccoli family saying they will never let anyone control it and then took the $8 billions dollars Amazon offered them after Amazon purchased MGM which owns the home video and theatrical distribution rights to the James Bond films.

They all look like kids.

When Craig was announced I was super excited (CR is still the best film in his series IMO) and I still remember seeing him in Layer Cake and there was a particular scene with him picking a small hand gun and walking around aiming it and I thought, "this guy looks like fucking James Bond!"

When Daniel Craig was announced, I said, hey that's the guy from the Lara Croft Tomb Raider (2001).

Layer Cake came out in 2004 and he was announced as Bond not long after.

I didn't see Layer Cake until after Casino Royale was released and I rented the DVD.

Remember Daniel Craig announcement?

The Internet erupted in an uproar.

Folks were saying:

He looked uncomfortable and scared in the boat.

He was wearing a life vest.

Bond will never wear a life vest.

He was Blond.
Someone even started a website called Daniel Craig Is Not Bond website.

Craig turned out great and I agree people should give whoever is picked a chance to prove themselves on screen but this time, if the news about these 3 kids is true, I do have to strongly object.

In Ian Fleming's James Bond novels, Bond is generally portrayed as being in his mid-thirties. While there are no explicit birthdates given in the books, several clues and references suggest this age range. In the novel Moonraker, Bond is explicitly stated to be 37 years old. Additionally, Fleming often depicted Bond as being in his mid-thirties, even as the series progressed
With the casting it makes me wonder if they're working on a Year One sort of approach. I've read somewhere that Amazon is looking to build out a "Bond Universe" so to speak with movies and tv series.
I'd be happy if they just cast Ana de Armas in the lead role based on her "Ballerina" chops alone. Denis Villenueve has a history of telling stories about strong, sexy women.

One of the most effective current intelligence agencies on the planet does most of it's recruiting at the major fashion shows around the planet every spring. They hire them young and train them up. And nobody sees it coming....

Amazon murdered The Lord Of The Rings IP (intellectual property), now they will do the same to James Bond.
You and me are just on the opposite side of the spectrum I guess. LoTR season 1 was ok. But season 2 was mostly great. It was better than season 2 of House of Dragons imo.

However, I’m not bothered by movies and shows casting non-white actors in fantasy shows that aren’t rooted in historical accuracy or where the race of the character is important. Now if we’re talking about a movie called The Northman by Robert Eggers (great movie by the way) that takes place in historical Europe and is heavily influenced by Norse mythology casting non-white actors as Vikings, that would be something to be up in arms about. James Bond, or LoTR, or The Little Mermaid, pure fantasy, I don’t care who they cast.
