Do we still need a U.S. Passport to cross, or will they accept the new REAL ID that we’ve been required to get to fly and get thru TSA? Originally Posted by FBSMLUVR

Thanks tbear, much appreciated. I was just wondering because my passport has expired. No problem with getting a new one, but thought if the new REAL ID was accepted, why bother. Guess it’s time to get a new updated passport anyway, then I won’t have to worry about it, I’ve just been putting it off due to laziness.
My understanding is that the Real ID drivers license is not accepted; the Enhanced drivers license is.

Believe a Passport or Enhanced drivers license is required.

Rates are def better than down here, along with the quality of the ladies at the agencies and AMPs.

Sooner or later Calif probably will require passports after it turns into a pacific island. Vancouver will always be part of Canada though.
