Trump calls Japan prime minister Mr. Japan

Lol. Lucky he even managed to remember he was talking about Japan.
That is my point. He doesn’t care.
His goal is to equalize trade with all Countries and have the US stop being the World’s “Bitch” in economic trade. Originally Posted by Jacky S

Japan is not China. China is predatory, Japan is not. They deserve respect unlike China and being the incompetent rapidly cognitive declining idiot geezer that he is, Trump is incapable of showing respect unless you kiss his ass and that's not Japan because they don't kiss ass in business dealings... I can honestly say it is amazing to me how when I was in Tokyo to help close a M&A deal when I was early in my career, how I've never been so politely and respectfully told to basically "fuck off" when they decided to go another route. Haha

This is an amazing post, Lucas. I did not think of that angle. Very well done.

I have worked with the Japanese often in my career. You nailed it.

Looking back, I now realize that many were some of the most racist people I had known in my just over 19 years.

And I was from the South.

Things might be different now. I can not recall meeting one Japanese person since.

Yeah. Things might be different. Take it from those of us who have met many since then.

Their PM deserves more respect from Trump. But supposedly...he "doesn't care." Well...some of the rest of us do.

Jeezis Christ.

Maybe Trump just thinks Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is a hunk and dumb dumb meant it as a compliment.

But this thread reminded me when Walter Mondale took an attempt to mix in Japanese cultural at a dinner meeting. He dressed in the traditional japanese clothing. When he got to the table, there was a distinct change in the attitudes of the locals. Found out that the way he dressed himself was how they clothed dead people. Ima sure a laugh by all was had by the faux pas.
