I don’t give it much credence however. I think the warning got out to the correct people in Texas in plenty of time. I do worry however about cuts to the national weather service including efforts to model climate change. More research needs to be done on weather pattern changes so we can continue to model climate effects properly. Cutting research doesn’t seem to be a good way to save money in the budget.
as far as Texas not putting more sirens you may have a point. that however has nothing to do with Trump. and these areas in some cases are remote and difficult to install equipment.

Knowing that there was a good chance of flash floods at two in the morning and no good way to spread the warning is a recipe for the disaster that occurred.
I blame Trump for a lot of things but this is really the Governor’s fault in my opinion. Funding in Texas is far from what I prefer. Too much Operation Lone Star and School Vouchers and not enough funding for flood control and other infrastructure projects.
