Any pretending to be law enforcement should be held accountable and have the book thrown at them. They sow suspicion, increase the likelihood of resistance to actual LEO, and in some cases are using a crime in a furtherance of other crimes.

If you're unclear why folks impersonating law enforcement to harass, defraud. rob, rape and/or kidnap others is a bad thing, or why it matters, then I'm not sure an explanation from me will help.

Same for how this helps breed further mistrust that can get legit LEO's hurt or escalate resistance.

Attacks on LEO aren't acceptable. ICE impersonators help make it even less clear who is and isn't LEO and whether you're actually dealing with legitimate officers.
