DC Protester Throws Subway Sandwich at DC Cop. Faces Felony Assault Charges by Judge Jeannine Pirro. (Video)

Where was it stated that the guy was a Dem and not just a drunk ass idiot? Who the hell throws a sandwich at a cop right in front of him within his reach because of his political views? LOL Originally Posted by Lucas McCain

The problem is not with the arrest it’s with classifying it as a felony. Just a bit of over charging in my opinion. Originally Posted by txdot-guy

Don’t you think that this is highly hypocritical when Trump pardoned the January 6th rioters and subsequently hired at the Department of Justice Jared Wise.

A man who on January 6th called the police "Nazi" and "Gestapo.”. A man who urged others to “kill” the police.

It just seems to show that under Trump it’s not about the law it’s about picking sides and loyalty.

It sure seems that way when reading some of the comments in this thread.

And the guy calling police Nazi and gestapo turn out to be an FBI operative. He was never arrested.

If anyone did what this guy did (throwing something in the face)
ANYWHERE in this country to a law enforcement agent the exact same thing would happen. It had absolutely ZERO to with Trump but it is telling to hear what the left deems to be acceptable behavior. They must swap spit with each other all the time.

Overview of Jared Wise's Arrest
Jared Wise, a former FBI agent, was arrested in May 2023 in connection with the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. He faced multiple charges, including:

Civil disorder
Assaulting or impeding law enforcement officers
Entering a restricted building without lawful authority
Disorderly conduct in a restricted area

Actions During the Capitol Riot
On January 6, 2021, Wise was recorded entering the Capitol through the Senate Wing Door. He was seen engaging with police officers, making inflammatory remarks, and encouraging violence against them. Notably, he shouted phrases like "kill 'em!" directed at law enforcement during a violent confrontation.

Key Events
TIME ACTION
2:23 PM Entered the Capitol building
4:21 PM Yelled at police, calling them "Nazis"
After 4:21 PM Encouraged rioters to "kill 'em!"

Legal Proceedings and Clemency
Wise's case was ongoing when President Trump granted clemency to many involved in the January 6 events, including Wise. This led to the dismissal of his charges. Following this, he has taken on a role advising a "weaponization working group" within the Department of Justice, indicating a significant shift in his post-arrest trajectory

Sometimes, the only way to fight fascism is with a $5 footlong.

It’s a ripe metaphor for everything Trump is doing to D.C. right now. The armed agents chased after Dunn and arrested him not because the sandwich toss was dangerous but because it was defiant. Same with the president’s war on Democratic jurisdictions, which he is eager to subjugate with military force. Cloaked in bogus claims of lawlessness and widespread violence, it’s an effort to seize control from Black mayors, to force his anti-immigrant agenda on cities that have rejected it, and to punish Americans who didn’t vote for him.

There’s a reason you’re allowed to take a turkey club onto an airplane: Sandwiches are not recognized as weapons. Unless you’re allergic to the peanuts in a PB&J, they are utterly harmless portable meals, even when projectile. You can see this quite clearly in the video of the encounter. The sandwich bends in its wrapper under the force of the CBP agent’s bulletproof (and, evidently, sandwichproof) vest. A few bits of lettuce or other toppings fly out; the sandwich is injured. The agent barely even flinches.

In a photo taken of Dunn’s arrest on Sunday night, at least 13 officers crowd around a street corner to apprehend him, a breathtaking show of force against a man who threw a piece of bread. The entire incident is rife with such ludicrous disproportionality. The video still of a submarine sandwich bouncing off a bulletproof vest will be an indelible image of this administration’s response to political opposition.

There’s no crime emergency in D.C. or in any of the other cities the president is promising to target. His goal isn’t to bring justice to victims or make cities safer; it’s to abuse his perceived enemies and quash dissent.

That’s why those 13 officers weren’t off investigating a murder or carjacking on Sunday night. They were spending their taxpayer-funded time chasing down a man who’d already relinquished his only weapon, which was probably already soggy when he used it.

Like weapons, I don't think the media knows their sandwiches from a hole in the ground. Subway doesn't wrap their sandwiches in a plain brown wrapper and it was kind of large. Probably a concealed dildo for a WNBA game. Originally Posted by Schwarzer Ritter

Rifleman, Precious, and TxDOT: I'll make a deal with you. You admit that only a deranged Democrat would throw something at a cop. And I'll admit that the felony charge is too extreme. Deal?

It's still obvious to me that many Democrats don't want their streets cleaned up of crime and homelessness. They want Gotham City instead. They'll even go so far as to deny there is a crime problem in the first place. DC is Gotham City. Trump is Bat Man. Democrats don't like it. The real reason Dems are mad about DC is because after Trump cleans it up and makes it nice again, every other Democrat shithole city will be exposed for their community negligence.

That still doesn’t make throwing a sandwich at a police officer a felony and you know it.

P.S. Trump is not making crime less he is just making things worse.
