BREAKING!

Trumps 500 million judgement overturned.

WINNING!

they only tossed the fine- the conviction will stay. Likely will have to be re-sentenced. The court found that there was plenty to confirm the conviction of fraud and attempting to dissuade negative views from banks based on factual valuations- so while TRUMP escaped the 500 million, he's still gonna get zapped, but likely chump change from his meme coin collection at this point.

This will be known as the Kleptocracy Presidency.

By the way, this is the way businesses and banks have done business in NY for many decades. Trump did nothing wrong. Keep fishing.

do you know what that is??

Declaration/affirmation
Sworn assertion: This is typically a statement preceding the signature, in which the applicant formally attests to the accuracy of the information provided.

Legal commitment: Both the signature and the declaration are considered legal commitments, meaning that providing false or misleading information can have serious consequences, including legal and financial penalties, according to the Barone Defense Firm and Bankrate. - source

In essence, when a borrower signs a loan application, they are making a formal and legally binding declaration that they have provided truthful information and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the document

Tell me again how it's not against the law to lie on an application and I'll show you 1000 guys in jail for bank fraud for doing exactly that.

You REDHATS really will believe anything FOX news or Breitbart tells you!!!

BTW- Tish James is being pursued by the GOP led DOJ- for a mistatement on her mortgage application- I guess if she's up to date on the payments, you guys are ok with her getting off scott free too. Nothing to see here-

Same with Cook on the Fed Board.

You guys think only cause there is a disclaimer- you're safe. If pussy came with a disclaimer- would that make you immune from getting and Std or getting someone pregnant.

"shoulda read the fine print- mutherfucka".

BUT

a 500 Million dollar fine would impede ANY / EverY other person in the world- but not DJT. It just entrenched him to appeal, and I would have been surprised at any different outcome. I don't agree with that large of fine that it would have economically killed the guy- but he did bring this on himself. Had the prosecution been smart- they would have sought a fine that was significant enough to sting- and injure, but not to try to ruin the guy- which was a violation of his 8th amendment of unreasonable fines etc.

I would have preferred that they hit him with one that was 100 Million- plus a 10 yr cease order on any properties tied to him or his kids in the state- That would have been more appropriate. Plus it would have hurt his little ego worse than just a monetary fine.

truly it's not the fines that hurt him- it's the fact that he was found guilty. And a fine of zero dollars but you cannot do business in the city of NY would have been a bigger kick to the dick than the baloney that he got. That said- he should pay something for being a liar and manipulation of valuations.

Most ppl go to jail for being that kinda dumb.

Shocker. This is what happens when you make up crimes. Sooner or later someone sane, not driven by the ability to label someone a criminal for an election, will look at the case.

Correct, eye. They tossed the penalty for being excessive. The ruling stands

Yeah that “ruling” is sharp as a butter knife.

This is Jonathan Turleys thoughts.

I have never met a sane Democrat that didn't disagree with him, same goes for sane Conservatives, and note I did not say Republicans, as the Evangelicals would likely disagree with Turley.

Judge who fined Trump $500M gets the books thrown at him

"The close-up was not a good idea, and, on appeal, it was perfectly disastrous. The court found little legal or factual basis for his fine. The purported witnesses not only did not lose a dime, but they testified that they made money on the loans and wanted new loans with the Trump administration. That did not move Engoron. From the start, he was speaking to those "wonderful people out there."
