Actually tommy he is right, the president can declassify information. But it is supposed to be used on an emergency basis, whereas there is a national emergency and there is no time to go through tha declassification process.

There are some conservative talking heads who claim that if a POTUS even thinks that something should be de-classified, it is. Or that if he verbalizes that it's declassified, it is.
