Bolton gets the Trump document treatment.

trump could legally declassify any record he wanted, hence, why his prosecution went NOWHERE. Originally Posted by Devo

Or he must show someone something that above thier current security level they need to do thier job and there is no time to upgrade the security level of the individual that needs the information immediately!
Not to entertain guests at a party to show how important you are!
And I wasnt joking when in an earlier post I said that Im sure many spys came away from Mar-a-lago with thier iphones chock full of America's most classified secrets.
I wonder what it was that Jared Kushner took to Saudi Arabia that was worth two billion dollars?
Once again thank you Merrik Garland!
The POTUS is to go through a process of declassifying materials, not just wave his magic wand and say they were declassified before he stole them

In the recent Trump Mar-a-lagoon raid- Trumpy's failure was his admission to someone on audio- that he "could get in trouble for sharing this, "This is highly confidential. Secret. This is secret information." "As president I could have declassified it, but now I can't" .

Mens Rea- the knowledge that what you are doing and intent despite knowing it's wrong.

Sadly the orange asshole just is too narcissistically stupid and a braggadocious asshat- so much so that he can't help himself. Even when he knows' it's wrong, he still has to break laws.

I am sure other presidents have documents- likely even classified and secret; BUT- when requested to return those document, they probably did indeed return them. Not snubb their noses at the archives and tell them a lie- like, "the dog ate the secret documents"

- Sir- you don't have a dog.

So, should Trump go after Biden for doing the same thing he did?

No one is above the law, CORRECT???
Bullshit. Biden immediately cooperated with investigators and handed everything over. trump kept refusing to cooperate for over a year, so he got his place raided. FAFO.

Nevermind the fact that nothing they found at Biden's place even approached "top secret" level stuff.

This is apples and Oreos. As usual.

What kind of documents did Biden have in his garage?

The classified documents included intelligence material and briefing memos on Ukraine, Iran and the United Kingdom. In coordination with the Justice Department (DOJ), Biden's attorneys discovered a second set of documents at Biden's home on December 20, followed by several more on January 9 and January 12, 2023.
