I hate to even post this in case Bob Nutting is a fellow monger and I might be giving him ideas, but being highly paid and being highly talented are not the same thing. The Steelers defense is wxhibit A, especially a certain pass rusher who just had to be the top paid non-QB who just extended his sack less game streak to 6 (IIRC). When you make the money he does, you should at least be in the conversation for defensive player of the year. Right now he’s nowhere close to even being an afterthought for that honor. game twoGross. Keep that nonsense out of the sports folder, please. Nobody cares.
lousy oline again, pathetic defense and a rookie rb who apparently doesnt know the rules on a kickoff.....
oh and thanks mr rooney for giving 30 seconds of silence for the disgusting murder of charlie kirk in front of his children, the same 30 seconds you honored george floyd with.............wait a minute you didnt

Ramsey is 30 years old and in his tenth season. The current team isn’t going anywhere and next year they’ll likely be breaking in a rookie QB. It’s probably going to be another two years until they are remotely ready to contend - in addition to QB they probably need to upgrade LB, OT, and WR in the next couple of drafts. Ramsey will be in year 12 and 32 years old at a position that requires speed. Will he really have anything left at that point? This isn’t all on Khan in my opinion. At what point is the head coach held accountable? Originally Posted by Charley3

But that was his dad still I think.
Rooney won't pay him to not coach, so he is here for the remainder of his contract at least.
They would also be wise to expand they're coaching staff. They have the smallest in the NFL at 19. Is this Rooney being cheap or Tomlin wanting to keep it small and easier to control? I don't know.
Here's a quote from Tomlin in 2023.
“I’d rather overwork them than underwork them, you know what I mean?” he said. “I think there’s benefit in small numbers. It’s easier to keep the group coordinated and on accord, to have that one voice that is critical and culture-building. So small is better for me, but you’d better have enough to get the job done and I realize that we’re probably on the smaller side as far as staffing goes but that’s the agenda for us.” Originally Posted by Iceman

If that is true, it’s ridiculously cheap. Love to see a local media guy have the balls to ask Rooney that question.
Am I the only one who thinks our local media is a bunch of pussies! The local ESPN girl (can’t think of her name) is the only one that asks Tomlin the real questions. Originally Posted by Charley3
