when was the last time Elmo had any new ideas or bright new offerings from the Tesla Car company?? Its almost as if our poor special K dude has lost all the oompff of running a car company. I have often wondered how his board of directors didn't tell him- you cannot do this company and Space x and all the other investings he has- as the Tesla company suffers as does any company when leadership is absent. When was the last good announcement you heard from Elmo- besides self driving cars which atleast 3 other competitors are eating his lunch there too??

He is still selling cars. New cars, even. Seen a couple of the new teslas while I've been out.

Swear to god, they look like a regular car wearing an inflated fat suit. Curves in all the wrong places. Who thinks a chubby car looks good, even?
Teslas look like they were designed by a 3rd grader who rides the short bus. You know, perfect for today's conservatives.

Definitely some reasons to question that valuation

Tesla has been on a tear lately (stock price) low of mid 220s and now at 435. Elmo invested a billion of his own in a stock buy back which seemed to artificially give the stock a real bump, but most of the research I'm seeing is not on Tesla cars but rather the AI part of self driving cars. Tesla is vying with waymo on tech where Waymo uses more advanced Lidar vs. just cameras and radar.

Anyway looks like Elmo is prepping the company to be the taxi service of the future as it did for starlink to be the Internet. I will give him this- subscription service providers end up making a lot of juice over one time purchasers. Netflix, Amazon, cell phone providers etc...great examples of that. You see Microsoft move to that model with the office 360 and also with Adobe subscription.

These capital intensive companies have figured out that if you can keep the pipeline of money coming in annually - long-term you make way more money than selling a high price product once.

No doubt it's a momentum play stock, and highly speculative...most pundits are saying it's due to the value of self driving cars vs actual cars. More tech than mechanical prowess. 80% of new electric vehicles are now equal or better than Tesla. The real value of Tesla is the charger systems and it's infrastructure vs. home chargers or sympatico charge systems ...still Elmo has the value of subscriptions vs. purchases on his side....and the new self driving software. Still over valued in my opinion

... Alas, this Tesla thread not quite panning the way it
was intended surely reminds me of a fellow from the olde country
name o' Hugh Milliation. ... But, maybe things will turn 'round. ..
