super lonely over here in lewisville!1 just wondering how everyone else id doing during the shut down, how its effecting yall, ect. want some company during?

I just hope flights are not cancled.

I'm retired. Not affecting me at all. Other than getting a chuckle out of the talking heads on tv blaming eachother.

I’m with u, it’s not effecting my SS, my VA 100% disability $ or my pension. Who could ask for more!!!! Oh yea at 100% disability I don’t pay property taxes in Texas

I'd guess its not a heavy impact up in DFW. I'm down in the Killeen area and its a much bigger impact this close to base. Lots of people won't be getting their paycheck on Wednesday if nothing changes.

I got back early this morning on a flight from LV and a lot of buzz among Flight Attendants and Counter People about a major impact coming due to Air Traffic Controller availability, especially on West Coast Flights. I'm not planning any air travel until this gets settled.

I heard it said once that the federal government has actually very little to do with a private citizen's everyday life. In reality the Mayor of your city probably has more effect. It's the Mayor who can decide to put a stop light next to your house not the feds. Yet turnout for a federal election is typically much higher that a mayoral election.
