Oof indeed. Remember that his people told the Supremes that the tariffs weren't a tax AND weren't designed to generate revenue.

He can't help but talk about "making money" and ironically, he's now bringing up stuff now that I brought up months ago regarding frontloaded inventory. Except if his tariff plan leads to the U.S. manufacturing he promised it would then it would gut that revenue.

Except they are not. They are paid by the customer buying the goods. IE the Citizens of the United States of America. Trump is either too stupid or too addled to realize that tariffs are taxes.
