BREAKING: Four Articles of IMPEACHMENT were just filed against Tim Walz in the Minnesota House GOOD, kick him out of office!

1. Allowed fraud despite being warned
2. Engaged in the coverup
3. Allowed agencies to continue without any further safeguards
4. Allowed safeguards to be ignored and failed to ensure agencies complied with anti-fraud programs Pass this. He should RESIGN before it's even passed. H/t @GrageDustin

A group of five Republican state representatives drafted four articles against Walz. The representatives claim that Walz knowingly permitted or concealed widespread fraud across the state, interfered with oversight and corrective action relating to said fraud, placed “political consideration above lawful administration,” and failed in his constitutional duties.

Republicans have stressed that “all options are on the table” should Walz decline to resign.

The Republicans behind the impeachment move are State Reps. Mike Wiener, Pam Altendorf, Ben Davis, Krista Knudsen, and Drew Roach, according to Alpha News.

“New and damning fraud examples are occurring now at nearly a daily basis, and it is essential we have all tools available and ready to use when we go back to session this February,” Altendorf said in a statement on X.

The group is hoping that the decision to remove Walz will become a bipartisan effort.

“I invite Minnesotans on both sides of the aisle, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike to stand together in holding all politicians accountable,” Wiener said in a statement to Alpha News. “This is not about removing someone because of ideology. It’s about restoring integrity, transparency, and trust in our state government.”

Walz has been in the spotlight for weeks as widespread fraud continues to be uncovered. Investigations have so far resulted in 98 indictments.

If Governor Waltz could be impeached and then brought to trial, that might do much to uncover a money trail.

Do the Republican Minnesota have he votes to actually do that?

I see another political dynamic that could be in play. The state's political power elite could try to replace Waltz via impeachment : (1) in order to cover up the direct involvement or mere complicity or other prominent Minnesota Democrat politicians and political operators, and (2) to replace him immediately with a Democrat who would then run as an incumbent when his current term expires.

ne does not need to be a Red or Blue cheerleader to think this. It is just political strategy that makes sense whoever you are.
Didn't they try to impeach Walz back in 2021?
Didn't make it out of the House,

We'll have to wait until next month when MN House reconvenes.

When the MAGA inquisition is broken up, this shit will be yet another skid mark on the tidy whireys of history.

And no, I don’t think the GOP has the votes in MN. You can be damned sure the state won’t be turning red anytime in our lifetimes.

I truly wish I could read what historians and political science analysts will write about the last thirty years or so of US history. Say, from Desertt Storm on.

Some aspects of the pandemic yers will not be believed by many. I am thinking that much of the Global War on Terror will be viewed as acts of folly by about all the presidents involved . . .from Bush 41 right up through the present.

Added to that will be the economic and political re-sorting of the nation;s demographics. . . .and the long term impact of the millions of foreign nationals who entered during the Biden years, for good or bad.

Heck, I wish I knew how the Mandani administration of NYC turns out.
Not to derail the thread, but Walz impeachment is at about the same stage as Noem's impeachment.
Rep Robin Kelly is expected to file three articles of impeachment on Wednesday. Some 67 co-sponsors have signed on to the bill. Only 3 articles though.
It is hysterical that MAGA thinks this actually means something. Impeachment has become just another political weapon, a way of showing fealty.

The fact is that only 10 republicans have signed on to this publicity stunt.

It won't be passed. There won't be the votes.

There's a better chance of Noem being successfully removed than Walz.

So officially, I'm calling bullshit on this townhall cut and paste troll thread.

Why is this a troll thread when all of the bullshit impeachments against Trump were justified by you? They didn't have a chance of succeeding yet they were championed by the lefties here. Just another example of the hypocrisy but so many here.

Tim Walz Articles of Impeachment Threat: What We Know

A group of Republicans is launching a bid to impeach Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

State Representative Mike Wiener provided Newsweek with articles of impeachment he had drafted to remove Walz from office, while on X, other Republicans in the state House said they wanted to introduce articles of impeachment against the Democrat amid mounting concerns about fraud in the state.

"Democrat control of our state has led to 9 billion dollars of fraud that we currently know about," Wiener told Newsweek. "Governor Walz said 'the buck stops with him.' Since he refused to resign the next step is impeachment. Our taxpayers are demanding this, and if the Democrats don't support the impeachment they are complicit with the fraud."

Newsweek reached out to Walz's office via email for comment outside of normal business hours.
Why It Matters

Widespread allegations of fraud in Minnesota have received national attention in recent weeks and have caused problems for Walz, who ended his reelection bid amid the scandal. The allegations also prompted the Department of Homeland Security to launch the "largest immigration operation ever" in Minneapolis.

Merrick Garland's Department of Justice first uncovered welfare fraud in Minnesota in 2022 with the Feeding Our Future nonprofit, which is estimated to have cost taxpayers some $250 million.

oh look! Garland knew of it and was just too damn busy looking for white supremacists to do anything about it!

Further instances of alleged fraud have since emerged. In December, First Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson said $9 billion or more in federal funds, allocated to 14 state-run programs since 2018, may have been stolen.

oh look! Minnesota isn't as blue as some posters think!!

For an impeachment effort to succeed, it would have to pass the Minnesota House and Senate. Control of the House is split; both parties have 67 seats each. Wiener said he would need one Democrat in a committee to vote with him for it to go to the House.

What People Are Saying

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said in a statement on January 5: "Every minute I spend defending my own political interests would be a minute I can't spend defending the people of Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity and the cynics who prey on our differences."

fatboy's career is over. he had to drop his re-election bid due to the massive stink of his incompetence. or corruption. or both.

Walz is a disgrace to all Americans.

BAHAHAAAA
there's no record of a prior impeachment of Walz
Again, maybe you need to do a better job on your homework.
