so as to stay on topic, any "no AA" providers want to fill us in on the backstory for the policy? my guess is it's personal experience and/or advice/stories from other provider colleagues. it's both sad and funny when my lovely AA spinner gals are strictly nba in their ads, but i get it..

I've always appreciated the irony of

I've never quite been able to figure out when exactly to lump everyone together based on certain characteristics. Seems like the logic is "don't lump me in, but let me lump you in". It would be nice if everyone could move past this mindset. I get that judging people as individuals is extra effort, but let's try.

Anyway, there's nuance to be had. Provider A notices that 50% of her clients of a certain race give her bad experiences while <10% of other races give the same. It's probably easiest to just filter by race and move on, even if she otherwise has no racist feelings. Provider B just dislikes a certain race and filters them out the same way she wouldn't associate with them in any other context. Provider B is clearly racist, whereas A is pragmatic.

Of course, both will likely put "No AA" in their ad, but its definitely not the same. Still, who can know the reasoning behind it? That's why I've always appreciated seeing "Sorry no AA" or "A few of you ruined it for the rest". At least we know where you're coming from (or at least trying to appear that way). Intent matters

You can’t change people but you can change your approach. There are plenty of ladies that will see AA. Those that don't thats their choice.
