Lindsey Vonn comeback Trump

To focus on Lindsy Von:

I believe that just to be " . . .standing in the starting gate . . ." at an Olympie event at age 41 makes you a winner.

We all make choices in life.

In years past there was a champion skier for the US Olympic team named "Peekaboo Street" (that was her real name). Like Von, she was a world class ski racer who medaled in more than one Olympic Games. Like Von, she had accidents and injuries. Like Von, she "retired" and came back for one last time.

Unlike Von, when she went down the hill, pushing the limits of physics and dynamics, she quit the course in mid race. In her words ", I had crashed too often" or something similar and withdrew.

With her previous recent injury, Miss Von should have done the same.

Picabo Street

Nor did she 'quit the course in mid race'

She finished in 16th place, far from the winning time she had wanted — but fast enough for peace of mind.
