FYI, my brothers: the surest way to do this is to save the pic as a BMP, close your viewing program, DELETE THE ORIGINAL SO YOU DON'T ACCIDENTALLY USE IT, open the BMP picture, and then resave it as a PNG or JPG or whatever.

BMP's cannot retain any metadata. JPGs made from them are not going to have any beyond the name and version of the program used, or something harmless like that.
