State of the Union address

I won’t watch the orange freak’s rant thinly disguised as the State of the Union speech. I can’t stand the sound of his lousy voice…..and being a New Yorker, that disgust pre-dates MAGA and any political runs he has made. I’ll read the crib notes afterwards.

HOWEVER……I totally disagree with the Dems boycotting the speech. There is a decorum that our country should follow, no matter who is President.

Congresspeople not showing up is an insult to the office of the Presidency, not to Trump. They were elected to work for us all. Show up and show respect for the office.

I wish they would not counter program while the speech is on, but they have the right to do it. It’s just not right to DO it if you hold an elected office though. Show up at the State of the Union Address, and do the protests afterwards.

This applies to both sides of the aisle. Stop being fucking childish. You’re both guilty as fuck.

Sadly, I fully expect Trump's 'State of the Union' will be largely a rehash of the same hodge podge of lies, misstatements, misleadings that we've already heard.
10%-20% useful and 80%-90% propaganda.

Greatest economy in history 50K Dow (not quite), inflation defeated, closed borders, massive deportations, 8,9,10 wars stopped, prices lowered, all success due to tariffs, all failures due to Biden, 2020 election rigged...

Those Dems who are boycotting are sending such a childish message. I think many people are ready for adults to actually be in the room on both sides. Enough is enough with the Trump bashing just to gain favor. Sooner or later Dems are going to have to come up with more than that for many to actually take them seriously after the shit they pulled with Biden and Harris.

Bashing Trump works in some areas around this country because Trump is such a despicable cunt, but many people want to hear an actual executable plan about how they would make changes and to my knowledge, I have heard none of that from them in the many radio ads I hear while acting as the personal Uber driver for my kids on the weekends... fuck the boycott, just attend, don't clap and smile when Trump rambles on like the babbling old senile bitch that he is.
