The JCPOA agreement Obama signed with Iran and six other countries was doing just that. The agreement had a limit on how much enriched Uranium Iran could have. The agreement was working just fine until Trump took the USA out of the deal in May 2018 during his first term as president.

I've been busy with RL for a few days, took my eye offa this thread.

Then I come back and find it... nauseating. None of y'all know shit. Seriously. Not a goddam thing.

The inanities being said here...about Karg Island...about war crimes...are only matched by the absolute LACK of fucking empathy for the impacts of all of this on the citizenry.

That's exactly what all the war crime stuff is about. Hit the power plants, hopefully not the nuclear one, and it not only cuts off power, it also cuts off the water supply to 90% of the people. They have desalination plants all over taking water from the sea and making it drinkable. This requires power. The civilians of Iran, around 30 million, won't last long without water. On top of all this, if desalination plants or power is attacked, Iran said they will target other gulf countries water and power supply. Talk about escalation, cut off basic needs and shit is gonna hit the fan.
