Man people dont learn. Its not down. Its up. People are posting. just because you get the data base error and refresh once and it doesnt come up, doesnt mean its down.

They broke another usage record this week. I think it got up to 150k. Once again, fewer than 1k were actual members, so you can guess what sort of “guests” were trying to access the site.

Yeah I can clear cache and several other niche tricks with different browsers and get in, but if the girls cannot access the site it is a sausage fest.

Just an fyi… when it gets bad, logoff from your OH2 account. That clears the internal cache on their system for your profile and has improved my access. I’ll still get the database unavailable message but the 2nd or third try usually connects. The longer your profile is logged you never free up and cache storage on the site. Use it, don’t use it… just some free IT advice.

The system logs me off after an hour dormant. Does that free up the cache, or does it contribute to the problem when I log in again 1+ hours later because the site is showing I’m logged off (if that makes sense)?

nah VPN is still bad with the database error. Until CK decides to overhaul the website and actually invest in a more reliable service/backend , this is the reality of it.

There have been times when I need to hit refresh like 10-15 times before it loads up. Its been getting worse. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if the site actually went down again

It's like going to McDonald's where you already know from past visits and past experiences that you will get piss poor service and bad food so don't even bother sweating it.

The site is such garbage. I'm in tech sector and although I'm not a website/infra guru the type of consistent shitty performance and connectivity issues are baffling. Exactly what kind of updates/modernization/tech tweaks is needed?? Does anyone know for sure? Certainly the community could come together to assist. I mean, Eccie runs like a champ and the platforms are VERY similar.

The site isn’t owned by the community. It’s owned by an individual who is running it how he sees fit, and paying for it out of his own pocket. He also is bearing the legal risk of running a free ad site in a very red state in the 2020s.

I personally would not underwrite that risk, so I will live with the performance issues until something better comes along (fat chance in my hobby lifetime).
