Snow? In South Austin?!?

It can be a beautiful city. Here is a picture I took in February '07. Originally Posted by rekcaSxT

Now if it snows in Austin, the Saints win the Super Bowl, does this finally mean the Cubbies are going to do it this year??? Or will the Bartman fly in on the back of one of those pretty birds you showed us and stab all the fans in their hearts again

the first time i did the boston marathon, i bought a center field bleacher seat at fenway. i got goose bumps walking up the ramp and when i emerged and saw the field with the green monster to my right it truly was a mystical moment.

one of my few regrets involves not going to wrigleyville when i was in chicago for that marathon. it was when the cubs were in the playoffs in 2007 and had a home game the saturday before the marathon. my friend and i decided to go to the espnzone to watch texas/ou instead of jumping on the train and hanging outside wrigley. stupid, stupid, stupid---and to top it all off, ut lost the game.

people who don't understand that places like fenway and wrigley are so much more than ballparks, just don't get it at all.

There's nothing like curling up in the arms of a lover and watching the snow fall.
So very awesome!

I tell Austinites Chicago winter anecdotes and occasionally get called a liar to my face; one pretty girl refused to believe frostbite happened in human-populated lands; Antarctica, maybe, but surely not the Midwest.... Originally Posted by 78704

I thought the snow yesterday was awesome... bundled up my little ones and had a great day in the park

One of the best times I ever had in Chi-town was sitting on the rooftop bleachers. A friend of mine was going for a company thing, his wife couldn't/didn't want to go so I got to go. Those rooftops are WAY cool. There was a bar, huge window looking into the outfield, LCD TV's, and on the roof they even had a hot tub! Everything was catered. It was cold and rained that night but we beat the Padres!

If they ever talk seriously about tearing Wrigley down, you will see me on the news the next day chained to the front gate.

Oh yeah, it snowed yesterday.... (staying on topic)
