If i come off wrong about my writing on eccie than i am sorry

I want to say something about my writing....There are some post that is hard for me to write due to the subject of the post. If my write is bad than i am sorry about my writing and i am trying to come across better writer in the future.

This my first time posting my thoughs on eccie that everyone can see.

I hope this comes across as constructive critism and meant completely only to benefit you. If it doesn't I apologize in advance.

You have made some good points in your previous posts; however; sometimes it is somewhat difficult to understand. When I am writing a paper for school, I use Microsoft word. That program will show you where you have any errors such as grammar, punctuation, and spelling. You can right click on the errors to fix them. Maybe you could use that to initially write your posts then post them on the board.

Not only will that help your writing, it can help you learn to be a better writer. In my classes, I have learned that everyone can improve in this area. It's not just you. I have met you in person and you are very sweet and easy to be around and I am sure you want to show that in your board presence.

We all need to be a bit more understanding of those with reading, writing, and rithmatic problems.

I have spoken with you in person and know that you are a good conversationalist, that you can make clear and rational thoughts with good insights into many issues.

I never really understood how difficult learning disabilities can be until I had a child with mild dyslexia and attention deficit disorder.

I can empathize with the difficulties you face when dealing with adults that may never know the difficulties that more than 15% of our US population faces everyday.

Whenever you post, I ensure that I take my judgemental attitude outside for a brief talking to, and then come back to re-read your post so that I can better understand the person behind the pen so to speak.

The world is not perfect, neither are it's intelligent inhabitants.

But you are perfect just the way you are, so no apologies from you are necessary, but, please accept my apologies for not understanding that we all have impediments, yours are only visible when you write.

Liki is exactly right. Please don't apologize. The phrase "I am trying" in your original post is golden. Anyone wanting to get better at anything has already passed the hardest test! Congratulations! Jezabelle's suggestions are great. Software can be a big help with someone wanting to improve his or her communication skills. There are also plenty of online resources, such as http://owl.english.purdue.edu/ that can help. Keep seeking, you'll find what you need. And of course, we'll be glad to help.

It is great that you are trying to improve your writing. I'm usually horrible at trying to place thought to paper. It helps me to proof-read what I just wrote. The suggestions given to you by the above posters are great.

The best way to improve your writing skills is to write and then write some more. After you are done writing and read it to yourself (make corrections as necessary), pass the message to a friend that you trust to proof-read it. They should make suggestions and give you constructive criticism.

Jezz and yes i am in school and i have help with my paper all the time due to my dyslexis. Just alot of people in life have it and who live with dyslexis on everyday basic.

I am just learning to come out on eccie about my spelling on my dyslexis on the boards.

Haley, kudos to you for mentioning that which is forbidden for others to mention. I have met you and know you to be intelligent and with absolutely no problem in communicating. Sometimes we are all victims of the slip between the thought and the pen.

Hi Haley,

My young one is now grown with a young one of his own that we will need to keep an eye on in order to obtain treatment as necessary, if need be. It seems this runs in families.

I also have a cousin now in her fifties, that the family was just at the end of our patience.

She was always considered the proverbial blonde, flighty, smart ass in class and of course did not finish school.

It was not until her late 30's or early 40's that she realized she needed a GED to get out of her then current situation.

She started the adult education classes and one of her instructors knew something was wrong, and suggested a couple of tests.

She had dyslexia. Absolutely could not read.

She was placed into a program and the counselor used color overlays on the paper and all of a sudden the letters came together like magic.

She said it was unbelievable. She has since retrained her mind to be able to 'filter' what she is reading so that now she is a licensed professional in a medical environment.

So big kudos to you baby girl for getting the help you need.

Guys, thanks for stepping up and relating your own short comings.

One of the best ways to improve your writing skills is to read as much as possible. Perhaps you should buy a Kindle Fire, select some books you would be interested in, and read when you have free time.

You might be pleasantly surprised how much easier writing is if you are a prolific reader.

You and I have also met and you converse much better that your writing. That doesn't make you a bad person. It is understandable that you are not the only one with dyslexia and I applaud you for going for it. Those who judge you simple on your writing skills are surely missing out on the great personality and other skills you have and it's their loss. Lots of good suggestions have been posted and with you're determination, you'll get it. You just keep on speaking your mind however you want to. Keep after it.

there are something that poeple have to hold back on things that they dont want to show there feels about things when they are trying to write thing down .

I am was very lucky that i have good teachers in school notice that i have dylsexia.
In my early stage of school the only peoble that knew it was my teachers and my family.

Now that i am a audt and handle dylsixia on everyday basic and get easy over the years.
