Why does some providers don't see black men?

Thanks Ron Mexico. Just thought it was odd. In this line of work it shouldn't matter because each prover is facing the same risk no matter what race the hobbyist is. Originally Posted by plove35

Wow! Learn something new every day.

For the most part, NBA policies are poor substitutes for good screening. That and many of those who think that way tend to offer suspect quality of services, the scammers and such (and the last thing they want to deal with is a pissed off 'brotha' over his money).

Try to focus on the ones that love dark chocolate, brotha man!!

Being black myself PLove, I say don't worry about it. You aren't going to be able to talk someone who doesn't see black men into doing so. You don't want to schedule an appointment with someone who is apprehensive about seeing you in the first place. There are plenty of providers that will take your money. There are various reason why some providers don't see black men, even black providers.

You asked for reasons. Some reasons are legit, some are ignorant. The reasons are covered in-depth in the two links I have posted below. Read through them and you will be fully caught up:

Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing the question and the OP did nothing wrong by asking why it happens. That said, I've yet to see one of these threads that doesn't get ugly and Ron's answer (with his supporting links) is a great one.

You are absolutely right, my apologizes for being part of the "oh not this again".

Make a list of the providers you want to see, research and see if they have a NBA policy, some are very open about it and it helps. There are plenty of woman who see ALL races. Its over 400 if not more providers advertising everywhere in the metroplex area.

If the one you want has a NBA policy, find a look a like who does not have one. You can also post a ISO and see what results you come up with. Happy hunting.

I wasn't trying to gripe at anyone, it was just an observation. There are posts about race that start off accusatory and angry, but PLove's didn't. I definitely understand people not wanting to beat a dead horse. Sometimes it's easier to show people where the dead horse is buried.

NBA standing for "no blacks allowed". Just another example of how the hobby world and the real world don't have shit in common.
