You know though Q, the first place we met when it was just you, me and a couple of friends who have faded away. We met there several times sometimes with a lot of folks and it was cool. I enjoyed the encounters and felt safe. Gotta admit, we had some fun. Too bad things get distorted.

having been to several M&Gs in dallas over the years, a lot of what you all think is true.
* you have to screen folks to lower the probability of problems. recent ones in dallas were organized by one guy & one woman. prior ones were org'd by one guy.
* you have to find a private place that's large enough but wont cost an arm and a leg. recent ones were 40 bucks for the guys, free for the women - food included; all drinks were from a cash bar.
* or a public place w/ a private room or space. even then, the guy's fee was about the same, but better food, imo.
* i cant remember any shenanigans going on at recent ones, but at some a few yrs ago, some not so legal activity was going on in the women's restroom. the organizer of that series quit holding them.
* yep, some folks got too drunk, but no one has ever gotten arrested or worse.
as with anything, it takes time, patience, and money.
and either people will show or they wont.
so, either start small and grow. or go for the gusto.
but dont freak out and think the world will end if you all have one.
