Yep. Went to the Astro's vs Sox game today. Looking forward to a shitty season for Houston.

I recognized three names on our team. I need to get up to speed.

Looking forward to it all. Anyone interested in starting a discussion / poll on predicting the 'Stros win vs. loss record this season?

I am! Then again, I don't get depressed talking about the Astros losing...

I'm predicting 92 losses...

I like the 92 Ls as a number for the Astros...... most places have them right at or near 100 Ls this year...... super young teams typically don't open up that can-o-quit that shitty veteran teams do......

I'm holding out hope, but a 30 percent win and a 70 percent loss looks like a pretty good bet.

Think of the money we are saving on playoff tickets.

I'm gonna guess 96 loses - 10 better (sic) than last year.

At least tickets should be cheap. Baseball is just to slow and why play so much you can lose 100 games anyway? But hey enjoy it if you like it.
Yeah, baseball's back!

I'm just bummed that the only time the Braves come to town is this coming week. Wanted to see Chipper play one last time.

I think the Astros will stay below the 100 loss plateau, but moving Myers to closer was not a smart move at all.

JaD...there's only one Opening Day...it just happens to fall on different calendar days, multiple times. Opening Day is when your team plays it's first regular season game of the year.

I agree, none of this exhibition shit or preseason crap, but I was personally glad I didn't have to take off work to catch Opening Day this year, like I do every year. I even readjusted my patrol schedule when I was in Iraq to sit in front of the TV and watch Opening Day.

You guys are awfully down on your Astros...I hate these guys, but even I can concede that having a bunch of new young kids on the team will lead to more wins than last year, simply because of the hungry factor...it's not like the overall talent is less than last year...

Well...... let me use the words game against you for a change....... its not Cardinals Opening day, Astros Opening Day, Tigers Opening Day, etc..... its BASEBALL's opening day.... Singular. The rest is sugar coated bullshit that I ain't buying......
