Do they have "Dunking Stools" at Chick-fil-A?

In the past, Chick-fil-A has practiced plenty of discrimination on its own. This lawsuit cost them a pretty penny and all because they insisted on making the Muslim guy pray in Jesus Christ's Name.

He said he was fired from his job at a Houston Chick-fil-A restaurant a day after he refused to pray to Jesus Christ during a training session in November 2000.

So what was the final outcome of the 2002 lawsuit that you link to ?

As it dismissed ?

Settled with no terms revealed.

Hey Stevie, did you check out all the other fast food places lawsuits based on discrimination?

Democrats make a living out of sung people for discrimination.

You ever have an unfounded discrimination suit brought against you?
It is almost as bad as Workers Comp fraud.

I don't discriminate 2Dogs! LOL

Seriously though, it is a hard act to balance. You do not want the employer turning their workers into slaves and you do not want the workers making false claims...

You don't have to discriminate in order to get sued. If you'd paid attention in Civics class you'd know that.

Phony lawsuits can cost a lot of money. Frequently companies will settle rather than go through the system. I know of at least one phony lawsuit which was baseless, but the plaintiff appealed the summary judgment order twice. It cost almost $300,000 to defend. In the end, had the plaintiff taken the $25,000 offer of settlement, which would have gone higher had he agreed to negotiate, he would have been money ahead. Instead, he got nothing.

Many times, plaintiffs hope for that $25,000 "go away" settlement offer. Good money, easy work.

We desperately need tort reform.

Hmmm . . . Ok.

Most lawsuits are filed by companies.

At least no one thought of suing over a hot cup of coffee in the lap.

Really. Most employment discrimination lawsuits are started by companies. It's that kind of brilliant statement that makes the Sandbox what it is.
