Prayers for Brooke and her family. I wish nothing but the best for you and your loved ones.

I hope the best for your mom, you, and the rest of your family. Sometimes the best we can hope for is a chance to properly say goodbye, spend some quality time with her.

Thanks again everyone ... even though your words are only text on a thread, they really mean a lot and have honestly made my day more bearable and I'd like to think that you all have played a part in her recovery. The turn around she made from last night at 10pm till tonight at 10pm was nothing short of a miracle.

I got to meet one of the doctors tonight who resuscitated her last night when her heart stopped and thank him personally. It gave me chills to see how surprised he was to see her in the state she is in now compared to 24 hours ago. I kept telling him thank you for a job well done and he kept telling me it was all my mom and the inner strength she has.

I don't want to get my hopes to high and say I know she is going to make it, because she is still in the ICU on a breathing machine, full of tubes and not able to talk, but gosh she is doing better.

I swear as she laid there ... full of tubes, with her eyes swollen & full of crust, her hair all messed up and lips so dry they were cracked and bleeding, she looked like the most beautiful women on earth. It was a very moving experience.

I hate that my mom had to go though this, but I am sure it will bring us closer. So many people don’t get a second chance to show their loved one how much they care and right now, being that I am getting this second chance ... well I feel like I just won the lottery. I honestly cant think of one thing in the world I need right now other then for my mom to make it.
