It sounds good, but really has no merit or meaning behind it because it is something that is impossible to gauge.

Whether the membership joins at a fast pace or a slow pace has no bearing at all on the "quality". I think the quality of the membership will be more of a trait that is mimicked by by the users following the example set forth by the administration of the board.
We aren't talking about the rate at which members join on their own accord. The original post involved recruiting membership and the rate at which recruited members join
does directly depend on who recruits them and for what reason they are being recruited.
