What is next?

Ok, i hope this is posted into the right place if not then well i guess yet once again my bad but here I go:
ok lets see back in the day we had records,then the 8 track,then tape decks,cds,now its all the rage of mp3's and mp 4's.
then there was silent movies,then black white movies,the color movies then the all mighty 3d,and now blue ray.

i geuss my point is what the flark is next can we just ignor whatever comes after blue-ray.I mean really what can they do next.i dont want to have to start my collection again.
